Pizza recipe

Pizza Recipe

Ingredients for the dough
2 cups of flour
About ½ cup of water
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons oil
Pinch of salt

Ingredients for the topping
Tomato paste or spaghetti for the base of the pizza
Grated cheese
Chopped ham
Chopped pineapple pieces
Chopped cooked onion
Chopped mushrooms
Chopped cooked capisican
Any other toppings you like to eat on a pizza

  1. Turn the oven onto bake at 220 degrees celsius.
  2. In a bowl sift the flour, salt and baking powder together.
  3. Put the oil and water into the bowl and mix to make a dough.
  4. Divide the dough in half.
  5. Roll out the dough to make two pizza bases.
  6. Put on a tray or pizza stone.
  7. Spread the tomato paste or spaghetti over the pizza bases.
  8. Add the toppings of your choice.
  9. Put in the oven for 20 minutes until the base is cooked.
  10. Cut up the pizza into eighths, eat and enjoy.
It was very delicious and I want to make more! The hard part was to spread the tomato paste. The easy part was to wait 20 minutes to eat.

Pencil Case

Today at Rutherford I finished a pencil case at woodwork. It was really hard trying to get the right measurements. We just have to sand them and paint them. My favourite part was all of it, start to finished.

Magic Play Dough

I grabbed the play dough stretching it,
Not too hard or I will quit.

I squished it, I shook it and then it turned green,
My wish was to be sparkling clean.

I am hoping it will be fun,
If it does I will be done.

I took it out of the bag it was very bumpy,
I rolled it in my hand and it was comfy.

This is a poem I wrote about making magic playdough.

Ashhurst Trip

Yesterday I went to the Herb Farm in Ashhurst, it was a bumpy ride. When we got to the Herb Farm it was very nice. We got to see Aloe Vera which was very spiky. We got told to come inside and BOOM I was in smell-land. It was very nice. There on a table were lots of things... we got told we were making a cream. I sat down and got told to use a bit of cream into a little jar. A little bit later we got to make our cream smell. I used 4 drops of lemon. 3 minutes later my cream was finished. I smelled it and felt it, it was very soft and I didn't want to leave.

Inquiry Popplet In The Bush

In class we got told a scenario that we had to solve two problems, the first problem was that bugs were biting our legs and the other
problem was that our friend fell off a rock and cut his leg. Here is my popplet with my ideas.

File:Ongaonga-Karori.jpg - Wikimedia Commons

Ongaonga has tropical names like timor, java and the devil leaf. It is a dangerous plant so stay away from it. Ongaonga is also named Urtica ferox. It is found on the west coast of the south island and north of Auckland and Otago. It’s rare. You could die if you fall into one of these. It has killed several dogs, horses, a guinea pig and at least one tramper. If you do get stung by one or two of the hairs it won’t do much harm but leave bright red patches on your arm or back.

How to heal it. Crush some leaves from the Kawakawa tree. Rub them on the area that it has been stung.

Prove It Workshop 20

L.I. Can I write some complex sentences?

Every Monday and Tuesday I go to Mr Cannon. Mr Cannon helps me get better at my maths because I don't think before I write the answer so I don't get the answer right. I do not go by myself. Jacob comes with me to. Me and Jacob are the first group of the day. I like going to Mr Cannon because he helps me and Jacob get better at our maths so we can be more clever. It's really nice to go and get better and more clever with Mr Cannon.

My Treasure

For our inquiry we have been learning about each other so we can be a successful community. We brought a family treasure to school to share with each other.

My treasure is a photo of my great, great Grandad Thomas Cairns.
This photo was taken in about 1900 at the Kurow Railway Station.
Kurow is located near the bottom of the South Island.

Our Community Walk

On Monday Room 1&2 He Puna Hangahanga went on a walk around the neighborhood to look for some communities that were around the block for our inquiry. We went with Miss Hulme, Mrs Palmer and Miss Mc Avoy. We did the walk to see what we can personify which is when you make something like a mailbox come alive for an example the mailbox chomped up the mail. It was a great walk. When we were just about to sit down it started to rain hard. Some kids got a ride and others got umbrellas.

Carlton Rocks

On Tuesday Miss Hulme said we were going to paint rocks. They came in a Christmas box. First we chose our rocks and then we planned them. Then Miss McA'voy called out names. If your name was called and 4 other kids were called you would paint your base coat. Then the next day you would have your name and 4 other kids names were again called out so you would paint your design. Then we will hide them around the school.  Our buddy class will try to find them all but if they don't the rest of the school will find the rest of the rocks.

Paragraph Writing

In class we have been learning to group similar ideas into paragraphs. Here is one I wrote about an important person to me.

I have a brilliant friend called Charlie.

He is funny when I’m very sad. He makes me giggle like a monkey.  He is fast at running around the giant Carlton School. He is smart, coming up with perfect, incredibly clever ideas and super helpful when I’m very lonely. I like him absolutely a lot because he is kind and caring to everyone.  He laughs out loud which makes me laugh too.

My class Room 1&2 walked all the way to the Boys and Girls Gym Club every Tuesday. Today is Tuesday so we go today and it is our last session. The 3rd session which was last Tuesday was very amazing. We did circuits and they were so fun. I liked the foam pit. It's made of foam and it says it in the title foam pit. I like the bouncy mat I think there is a trampoline underneath the mat.

The amazing water experiment

What you need:
Big bowl
Glad wrap
string/rubber band

Get a medium sized mug and put it a side get a bowl and full it half
way with water and put the mug in.

Then once you've finished that step you get some Glad Wrap and put it over tight.

Get 1 piece of string and put it around then top to secure. Once you've done that put it in the sunlight.

My prediction is that it will turn into jelly and wobble.

My prediction was wrong.

The results

The sun heated the water and it evaporated up towards the glad wrap.
Condensation formed on the glad wrap. When the water vapour became heavy it dropped into the cup, like rain. (precipitation)

Weekly Reflection Week 10 T 2

What: Last week Miss Morris left to go to Italy for a holiday and when she comes back she is going to Room 6 to take Miss Tymans place because she is leaving for good. It is very sad that Miss Morris is leaving Room 1&2. Last week Wanganui High School invited all the senor classes to a production that was  about Snow White and the 7 Dudes and it was very funny.  We did an assembly practice and it was hard to remember the lines but I remember my line.

Now What: I learnt how to say in  Kamokamo Te Reo which is a type of pumpkin.

So What: I have not completed my goal of making my handwriting neater so the teacher can read it. I will work hard on it.
